I’m winding down from a lovely Thanksgiving Day with the Martin clan. We stuffed ourselves full of yummy Thanksgiving fare like Mom’s special stuffing, Mindy’s decadent fruit salad, Lori’s rich sweet potatoes and my creamy pumpkin pies. I’m very thankful to have married into such a wonderful family who love the Lord and each other. I’m so very thankful that my husband was raised in a godly home by faithful parents. I’m blessed beyond measure because I’m married to the most wonderful husband who leads and loves and gives daily.
I’m very thankful for my own family. For faithful parents who taught me the Word and fostered in me a love for Christ and His church. For sisters who are godly women, loving wives, wise mothers and loyal friends. It’s been 9 years since I’ve celebrated Thanksgiving with my family and I look forward to the day when we can celebrate together again but until then I’ll savor the time we do get to spend together – like this Christmas!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

It’s been 25 days since I last posted here on yetanotherblog. Some of you may be wondering where I’ve been. Others may be thankful for the break. Still others may not have even noticed.
Well, I’m back now and I’ve got some 25 posts in the hopper ready to be added to the world wide waste er web. And by “hopper,” I mean “my brain” which could mean that it’ll take some time to get these posts out for your reading.
So why the drawn out dearth? Simple – Black Tuesday, 2008. Yes on the 79th anniversary of the infamous Wall Street crash that sparked the Great Depression, my MacBook (affectionately known as “Lappy” ) had a crash of its own and died a sad and un-timely death that sparked a great depression from here to Gordo’s.

My very sweet and very smart husband spent an entire day performing diagnostics and brain surgery on poor Lappy, but to no avail. Lappy’s brain was deader than a doornail. Within a couple days my very sweet and very smart husband installed a bigger, better brain and upgraded her OS so I could get up and running again.
I’m very thankful that I didn’t lose all of my files. In fact, because Lappy’s inferior former brain was on the small side, I was having to regularly save photos and files to CDs to make space. Most of my pics from before the last 6 months or so had been backed up. Wheh!

Sadly, there were several documents and files I thought were being backed up to my iDisk that actually were not. We’re planning to send the former brain to some data recovery specialists to get back some of those files. Included in those files was yetanotherblog.
Sigh.
In the meantime, I’ve figured out a way to get the blog back online and I’m hoping to get back to regular posting this week! I’m also going start migrating previous posts to this shiny new blog over the coming weeks so yetanotherblog will be whole again….with some updates, of course. The first update is the new design.
